ECHS MEMBERS AND DEPENDENTS

ISSUE OF MEDICAL CERTIFICATES TO



1. ECHS members and their dependents have been approaching this office for policy letters on issue of medical certificates. Type of medical certificates being asked for are at appendix attached.

2. It is clarified that ECHS authorities are NOT empowered to issue any medical certificate except as provided for in the GOI/MOD policy letter.

3. In case any ECHS member requests for such certificates he/she should be directed to approach other authorised departments/Service Hospitals. ECHS Polyclinics are akin to MI Rooms and are NOT authorised to issue any certificate.
